Find Your Happy Place

Does this scenario sound at all familiar? It’s time to start the day. Wake up and rush to get out of the house, only to sit in traffic while on your way to work. You finally arrive and you’re confronted with obligations and challenges of the day. In the midst of it all, anxiety develops and stress sets in. Time to go home and yep!… more traffic after a tough day at the office. You get home, and the stress from the day still resides inside you. Dinner time, maybe some homework, and if you’re lucky; perhaps a little R&R or television time. Then it’s off to bed, only to wake up tomorrow and do it all over again. It seems to be that we are always stuck in a hurry to get somewhere or to do something.

Have you ever asked yourself… “Is that all there is?” Well, the answer is NO! Life has so much to offer when you take the time to calm your mind and find your “Happy Place”. You might be asking yourself “Just where is this “Happy Place” and how do I get there?” Believe it or not, you don’t have to go very far because it resides within.

You may feel you don’t have the time, or that there are obstacles holding you back. You may even feel that you are undeserving. Not So! Everyone has a “Happy Place” and it’s different for each one of us. Some find it through physical exercise or activities while others find it in a quiet environment. Some may find it through a favorite vacation spot or just spending time with those you love. You can even go there, through your own happy thoughts. Dr. Bamblings says, “Happiness is about contentment or general dispositions rather than a destination.” That is precisely the point. It doesn’t matter where you find it, as long as it’s found. Make time to do what you love. Smile, laugh and play as often as you can.

Like any other behavior pattern, it is a learned and practiced mindset. You train your mind to notice what it is that makes you happy and you go there. So close your eyes and calm your mind. Visualize and feel your “Happy Place.” Hold on to that vision and go there as often as you can. Honor what feeds your soul. Set your intentions, as manifestation creates reality. And that’s how you find your “Happy Place”.

You’ve been given this gift of “now”
Simply and effortlessly embrace this time
Know where your “Happy Place” is
And be there
