It’s Your Journey

Very often other people have this idea of what they think you should do with your life. They may think that because they’re a doctor or lawyer, you should become a doctor or lawyer. Perhaps there may be a family business your parents want you to take over. That’s all fine and good if, when you are able to make your own choices and decisions that that’s the path you want to follow. But what most people don’t realize is that there is a little thing called “Destiny” There is something out there for you, already mapped out, something you are meant to do with your life; and maybe you just haven’t discovered it yet. Everyone has a personal calling. There may be forces beyond your control that lead you down a different path to start. You may still have to learn and grow. You do know that here on earth we never stop learning and growing, whatever our age is.

Once you discover what it is you want to do with your life, you can then change course and at any time, or at any age. Sure, there may be some obstacles along the way that may cause a diversion. Challenges come in all shapes, sizes and colors, and each is unique to you. But everyone has them. Recognize each struggle or challenge as a life’s lesson. Realize that it’s just part of your journey. Believe that you have the strength and courage to work through and overcome whatever comes your way. Then; you get right back on track, moving forward.

The funny thing is, you may not be aware of what path is right for you, until much later on in life. Everything we do prepares us for the next footstep through our journey. Each step you take allows you to explore and discover new adventures along the way.

So don’t let anything get in your way from living the life you want to live. Remember when one door closes, another door opens. Walk your path one step at a time until you come to the crossroads of your life. Only then will you know your destiny, your purpose, or your calling. Think big- live big- and you can live the life you have always wanted. Go for it! Remember to keep moving forward, because the past is only a reflection. Today is here, and that’s where you live.

A mindful quote from— Joseph Campbell

“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe to match your nature with Nature.”
