When was the last time you laughed so hard that tears literally rolled down your cheeks? The kind of laughter where you can hardly breathe, you know that deep belly laugh? Yeah…that’s it, you know the one, and I’m not talking about just a giggle! If you aren’t quite familiar with it, perhaps it’s time you acquaint yourself with laughing out loud! Laughter offers us a chance to escape, if even for a few moments, from the past and the future. Laughter allows us to really be in the moment. It can change your mind set in a given moment. Laughter is the best way to cure a bad mood and cleanse your soul.
But sometimes finding spontaneous laughter doesn’t come so easily. Stress, depression, boredom, and many other factors, can put us in a funk that makes it nearly impossible to feel the faintest bit humorous, or even unable to find the humor in anything. It’s time to change that. You can find humor in anything if you really try. You can watch a funny movie. You can get silly with a friend. You can even laugh at yourself. You CAN take something serious and find humor in it.
Everyday laughter is like taking a spoon full of sugar to help the medicine go down. You can turn many painful situations around through laughter. Make it a daily ritual to laugh out loud so not only you can hear it, but others can as well. What do you feel when you hear someone laughing? Do you join in? YES!! Laughing is contagious. It’s not only your mood that changes, but others as well. So go ahead… Laugh Out Loud!
As quoted by — Khalil Gibran
“In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things, does the heart find its morning and is refreshed.”
