Time To Get Happy

I would think it’s fair to say that we all want to be happy. For some people, that comes very easy, where as others it takes a bit of redirection. Yes….. I said redirection! That means resetting your thought process or incorporating some new activities into your daily life. So in this week’s blog, I would like to offer you some suggestions that may assist you in doing just that. Suggestions that will help you look at ways to improve your well being and bring happiness into your life.

Sweet Dreams
Make sure that you get enough sleep. That will help improve your concentration so you are then more productive. Not to mention that it will improve your immune system.

Frame Your Joy
Use post-it sticky’s if need be. Write three things about your internal self that is beautiful. Put them everywhere. In your closet, near the coffee maker, in the bathroom, even in your car. Let those post-it’s serve as a reminder that you are beautiful.

Slow Down
Try not to cram everything into a narrow timeslot. Create a window box. Allow yourself time to schedule and reschedule as necessary. This way you can accomplish the tasks at hand.

Take Baby Steps
Set goals that are achievable. You will have a greater sense of accomplishment.

Nix The Negative
Take a “time out” for yourself. It’s okay to say “not now”. Find stillness and allow yourself to clear your mind and reset your thoughts.

Wash Away Stress
While in the shower or bath, replace any negative or stressful thoughts, by letting them go down the drain. Replace them with positive affirmations.

Plan Social Time
Make time to spend with the people you can be happy with. Those that you can laugh and giggle with. Those that you can have fun with. Laughing is good for your soul.

Plan “ME” Time
Set an appointment to do something special for yourself. Just for you and keep it sacred.

These are just a few things that you can do throughout your week. We so often get busy in our daily lives; we forget that we have the ability to make happy choices. Think your way into happiness.
