A Path of Resistance ~ Or Not?
It’s so very easy to just “go with the flow.” We all do it, but for different reasons. Is it the quickest way to your destination? Is it a way to avoid conflict or confrontation? Is there fear of rejection or judgment?

We live in a culture where we are often immersed in “self.” Yes ~ you have always heard me speak of “self-love” as well as the importance of “self-well-being” and self-care.” This still holds true when. However, we do engage in relationships such as family, friends, colleagues, and partners.
Have you ever just sat down and asked yourself what might be missing in your life? Have you ever felt empty or hollow?
We are each put here on this earth to do more than just exist. Existing is simply doing what we need to do ~ to survive, and life has so much more to offer than that.
You’ve often heard people speak about the importance of time, and so it is ~ important! There’s a famous song “Time is my side,” ~ but is it really?
Unlike a clock that sits on a shelf, which is only to be used as a gauge of time…where you may hear the sound of “tick tock” or a bell chiming, you may see the second hand moving, and the hours changing., you cannot truly see time, even though you know it’s there.
Life can often bring us disappointment. You may not have gotten a gift that you expected. Someone may have let you down. A plan didn’t work out just as you had hoped. These life situations don’t always happen for the best, but they do happen for a reason.
When our computers or mobile devices are filled with too much data, they can stop working. When our homes or workspace have too much clutter, it leaves little, or no room for us to bring in anything fresh or new ~ so goes the same with your heart.
Spring ~ what a lovely time of year. All of the trees and bushes that have lost their leaves, begin to bloom again. We are reminded of “newness.” Flowers start to blossom ~ again ~ we are reminded of “newness.” The weather starts to warm, and the snow melts.
Each and every morning that we open our eyes is truly a blessing. It’s a chance to begin again. The day is filled with new choices that bring us opportunities. Each day is an opportunity for us to become aligned with our values.
As the year winds down, we find ourselves with time to reflect. I believe this is a necessary process for us all. This is the perfect time to take inventory of our lives and set forth achievable goals for the New Year.
For me, I would say this is a most humbling time of year. As the year is winding down, we make time to spend with those we love most. It’s a time for sharing. A time to express gratitude, for all that we have and all that we are.
